LOW-FORCE RELEASE [MOD-090]
The dependability
and performance of D38999 Series III, combined with a low-force
lanyard release mechanism that can be tuned to forces below
25 pounds. Developed and qualified to seperate at velocities between 20-30 feet/second for
use on aircraft canopy release systems, these connectors
not only meet the functional requirements of D38999, but
over ninety percent (90%) of the shock and vibration requirements.
Available in
shell sizes 17 to 25, with a full range of insert options (see the Outline Drawing below).
OUTLINE DRAWING
REDUNDANT RELEASE [MOD-095]
Developed for gravity release or ejected stores from internal weapons bays. This connector offers all the same features of the MOD-090 "Low-Force Release," plus a fail-safe release mechanism tied directly into the umbilical cable. The "Redundant" features insures proper separation of the store in the event of a lanyard failure, or omission to place the lanyard on the bail release.
Available in shell size 25, with a full range of insert options (including 1760).
